Given that Strutter, in his old age, has apparently forgotten how to do funny Desiato Entertainment LLC (a Swiss Verein incorporated in Vanuatu but definitely not for tax avoidance reasons) is delighted to announce the pilot episode of:
Down the gym with Hotblack Desiato!!!
(Warning: contains THC and occasional references to MILFs)
In which our intrepid hero ventures back into the post-lockdown gym world.
Scene 1: Booking a slot to visit the gym:
Hotblack Desiato:
Hello. I would like to book a slot to visit the gym. Are the sauna and steam room open? No? Because of government guidelines? But that's retarded - its 80 degrees C in there!
But the Jaccuzzi's open is it? Because a lukewarm bath full of farts and pubes isn't a virus transmission risk, but the sauna is?

Someink about chlorine in the jacuzzi kills the virus I suppose.
Can the virus survive in a dry sauna? I haven't heard anything. It is hard to stay 2m apart in most gym saunas anecdotally. They're quite small and enclosed.
My problem is that some gyms charge high rates for perks like that and right now all gyms are offering bare bones - no sweat towels, no saunas or steam rooms, no water fountains, no coffees, etc. etc. but charging full prices. I know they've suffered but it hardly seems fair to charge full price for half the benefits.

I, errr, I would be a bit surprised if you are sitting in an 80 C room
I would imagine however that any room in which a person can survive that a virus can survive for at least a bit of time and maybe a steam room, full of water droplets is a potential transmission hot box

What about dry sauna though? Would that act like an arid desert and kill the virus that needs water/moisture and room temperature to thrive?

Most saunas are about 80 degrees C. Some nutters endure temps of up to 160 degrees C!

Have you seen the state of most people in the gym? It’s bad enough being in the same room as them let alone in a petridish steam room or sauna during a pandemic ffs.

Er, Cookie, isn't this a case of the pot calling the kettle (hot)black? Last time we meet you were sporting a beard that must have been a haven for all sorts of moulds, bacteria, insects, and small omnivorous mammals.

Like Mr Twit, he can lick his chops and find a fullsome meal

And you’d know Wang, given you have a face that resembles a turnip being violated by a carrot. A veritable vegetable soup visage.

The simple solution is to avoid the gym and do a proper sport hth

Now that gives me a cracking idea for a post legalisation business. A jazz cabbage gym, where you can lift weights between tokes.

I do martial arts, which is even properer than sport, IMHO. The gym has quite a lot of kit that is quite useful for martial arts strength and conditioning - leg presses, punch bags, medicine balls. It also as a studio so I can practice bare foot.

So doing some research, the virus dies at about 60C
So a very hot, 100C or so dry sauna is not going to be a breeding ground or petri dish for the virus.
But a wet, cooler sauna or steam room is obviously not a great place to be during a pandemic.
