does any body know the most titled (if any) hereditary aristocrat to have played...in the English Football League
I think this is probably Lord Kinnaird (Wanderers, Old Etonians & England), a notoriously robust tackler, who according to Wikipedia celebrated his fifth Cup Final standing on his head.

Or possibly not, as I think he retired just before the formation of the EFL. He was however an FA committee member in later life.

Ditto the famous cricketer Hon. Alfred Lyttelton, whose football career saw him reach the Cup Final in 1876 and play for England the following year.

If this is not limited to UK aristocrats, then this fella is on the books at Leicester City, although he has never played for them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faiq_Bolkiah
And, of course, there is Lord Bendtner: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicklas_Bendtner

Not a footballer but surely the most Aristo recent former proper sportsman with real world class talent and ability, none of that 3 day eventing nonsense. Sir Lawrence Clark 7th Baronet, now working at Citi Bank. Any advances on that?

If you are going beyond football, you have to recognise Lord Moynihan.
Presumably you are not going to sink to life peers like the Lord Archers and Coe or Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson. Although the former was not elevated because of athletic prowess, he was not a peer at the time.

Not sure it is an advance on my suggestion, but a decent shout nonetheless

Forbes Phillipson-Masters. Not sure if he was particularly posh, but he certainly sounds like an aristocrat!
