Ahh yes. I forgot. Thanks for reminding me. Makes total sense that we should focus on and stop the use of these words when used by or in support of the people who have no means to truly carry out any plan to eradicate the other side instead of caring about it when they're used by the leader of the nuclear equipped country which, with the unequivocal support of the world's biggest superpower, are actually killing the others in the thousands.
Your deceptive thread title is attention seeking nonsense and your motivations appear to be self aggrandisement. Bibi is a monstrous tw@ but it is more effective to make a point without exaggerating everything to death.
It's only nonsense because the previous attempts by plenty of people to say that the use of the words "river to the sea" is a call for genocide. I'm just highlighting a logical inconsistency.
Rather than you continuing to guess what my motivations are, why don't you ask? I'll tell you: it's about keeping this front and center of public conscience because I'm starting to see it slip down the list of priorities in the media.
Thanks for your tips on effective communications though
RR- in my opinion there is currently no issue bigger or more serious than the conflict. And what Netanyahu says is chilling and requires no “exaggeration” from anyone.
If you’re so bored by innocent civilians being killed, just don’t engage with the thread.
if the thread is about netanyahu, i imagine all but the most swivel-eyed rightwhinging lunatic on here (and i accept there r quite a few, altho many of them r just amit’s puppets) would agree he is:
an utter toolbag
an armpit stain of a man
who belongs in gaol
4 a v long time
4 a number of different crimes including, at the v least, some sort of h7-based crime and 4 inciting/ordering breaches of international law
and his rightwhinging racist ideology can get in the sea (not necessarily from the river, from newhere it emerges, probably a cave)
cos he and his type of ideology r a huge part in the continuation of the problem
Thanks TOOD, that's honest and fair. What bothers me is that so many people apparently share the same view and yet are tug lite about "our" Government (UK/US/EU all apply) being lock step with him and his Government on the current offensive in Gaza.
: cos he is one of the architects of this horrific treatment of civilians and children.
Cos, based on public statements, he not only takes ownership of these strategies but delights in the success of said strategies
Cos he is prepared to bet everything on the current unnecessarily aggressive policy , even apparently, at the risk of the decimating the credibility of pro Israel friends in US and UK
Cos he is prepared to risk the unknown consequences of a proxy war in the ME just to buy more time for this overly aggressive and murderous policy
Cos he just doesn’t give a tuggg about anything but extending the political life of Bibi and the Israeli and Palestinian blood on his hands will never wash off
er no, he’s making a very good point heee about the hypocrisy of those who, driven by their own islamophobia and anti-arabism, use a bit of pedantry over language to build a fake case that palestinian nationalism and blood lust are inseparable
I have had occasion to give thumbs up to point made by both Gorlami and Honeybun. If they had turned up to a ROF drinks at which I was present I would make a point of finding them and introducing myself.
As a Jew I don't have any issue acknowledging fair points fairly made about this conflict and didn't find this one challenging to read. When there are enough people on both sides prepared to do the same, a way forward may emerge. That process would be considerably easier if you removed the religious lunatics from both sides.
‘if the thread is about netanyahu, i imagine all but the most swivel-eyed rightwhinging lunatic on here (and i accept there r quite a few, altho many of them r just amit’s puppets) would agree he is:’
Not sure about that. I’ve repeatedly invited various posters (although I accept many may be Amit socks) to express even the smallest tinge of regret at the ongoing carpet bombing of Palestinian civilians (having myself confirmed yet again that yes Hamas should be wiped from the face of the earth for 7 Oct as per) and they have all declined to do so.
Netanyahu, and may of his supporters, certainly would commit genocide if they thought they could get away with it. Happily the UK/US/EU are in a position where Israel is reliant on their support and Netanyahu knows such an act would very likely end that support, or at best very seriously reduce it.
Prodigal - would love to meet you and others on here but I'm now based in Dubai so don't get back to London all that often. Glad to know I'm not annoying the tits off of everyone on here though. I'll just have to find a way to live with RR's disdain.
Agree with you Tom - Apart from the obvious concern for the direct victims of this, I’m also worried about how much damage we’re going to allow Israel to do to our national interests before we say enough is enough

It’s only genocide if Palestinians say it.

Not until the innocent civilians do RR. Why are you so uncomfortable with this remaining a prominent talking point?

I'm not uncomfortable with the topic, I'm teded out by myopic morons over-spinning mundane utterances to selfishly generate attention for themselves.
I hope this clears up my feelings on the matter.

Not really keyboard warrior. It's pretty obvious what my motivations are for continually raising the issue.
If you're teded out by it, just ignore the threads. It was pretty obvious what this thread was about from the title.

There is zero islamophobia on this thread that I can see. For starters, amithemeatspad hasn't posted yet and Davos seems to be AWOL.

Hi, I interpreted your original post as an unnecessary pop at Gorlami for his post. The follow ups appeared to be on a similar theme
The clip in the OP had the Israeli PM deliberately using a phrase that the US Houses of Congress has classified as a call for genocide.
It ain’t a massive leap

Netanyahu publicly rejects US push for Palestinian state https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68025945
Err so it looks like the BBC prefer to ignore:
Bibi setting out need for complete sovereignty from the River Jordan to the sea, not just “security control “
Bibi using the River to the Sea to describe the area of sovereignty
These really are some messed up times if the Beeb prefers to skirt round reporting on such a critical issue .

I can definitely sense western sympathy for Israel waning. There’s fewer Good People willing to actually vocalise support for the ongoing destruction.
