Further reinforces the sense that, quite apart from the spinelessness, JC and his gang just don’t understand how much they don’t understand. Classic hard left hubris. All wind and piss, nothing but nothing of substance.
The Labour leadership’s role in brexit continues to be an absolute disgrace
Let’s be very clear about this. However much froth the loony left brew up in hatred of the steady middle ground, they leave most of the electorate cold.
But those of us will long memories will not forget this travesty, and we certainly won’t be giving handouts to anyone.
If we had a GE tomorrow, I would really struggle to decide who to vote for. I have voted labour all my life, except for in 2016 when I voted lib dem because of its position on brexit (heh).
Kimmy - same on the struggle - all of our main parties have been utterly sh1te on holding a clear line or showing they're remotely capable / worthy of government over this. At least one (perhaps the only) positive of Brexit is it has shown how weak, incompetent and unfit for office most of our politicians are. Something has to give and address that.
The country is no longer Conservative or Labour, we are only Leave or Remain, and FFS please will all the Remainers break away and set up something new we can vote for? Ta.

But, just as there is absolutely zero that's new on the horizon as to how the NI border can be resolved, there's also no sign in this of anything fresh and intelligent emerging from the current morass of left/right venal tribalism.
There have been reports of middle-ground labour MPs planning a spin-off. Wish they would get on with it, tbh. Perhaps today's developments will give them a nudge.

Heh. Amazing isn't it? Staunch Brexiteer pretending not to be one will accept bribe to support something as close to his heart as terrorists.

That's what I thought ???!
It was basically being in the EU on terms that the EU said couldn't happen and Brexiteers would have an embolism with!

"Corbyn to back Brexit in return for some stuff"
Sounds like a Daily Mash headline.

Isn't it the original 5 tests - staying in the CU, worker protections, etc? That May has already said no to...

Think that applies to both traditional Labour and Tory voters.
The next General Election is going to be... interesting.
You get what you give.

It's a safe ask from him that he knows will never happen so he won't have to do anything.

He is only interested in a general election and very action he take sis to secure that, not any particular brexit outcome.
He'd rather be PM of an exited UK but PM of an EU member UK would be an acceptable second best for him.

There's a storm coming in GE terms.

I hope you are right, BC.

The system is massively rigged to preserve the status quo, though.
It will need keen minds under the current rules to pierce through the cr@p and remove the utter rot throughout.

Why don't they join the Lib Dems?
Also the people suggesting this are odious twots like Owen Smith. Good luck getting people to vote for that.
