lawyerup

Staying in the game.

A US firm and an IT multinational are the latest employers to utilise LawyerUp to source new hires.

Gibson Dunn has joined other US firms with access to the app such as Weil, Shearman & Sterling, Mayer Brown, Kirkland & Ellis, Ropes & Gray, White & Case, Baker Botts, Cleary, and McDermott Will & Emery.

LawyerUp, which anyone in law can download for free, is also open to companies looking to fill in-house positions. This week SUSE, a German-based software multinational, jumped in to fill its legal roles.

On the candidate side, anyone in law, from trainees to NQs to partners to business services staff, can join LawyerUp.

Simply download LawyerUp from the App Store or Google Play and fill out your profile in 30 seconds, so that even if you’re not actively looking, you've got one ear open for that dream approach, direct from the source, without having to lift a finger.

Partly to prevent unwanted notifications, no recruitment consultants are allowed on, while employers cannot see profiles for people at their own business.

When an employer likes the look of your anonymised profile, they can ping your app to see if you’re interested in their role. Like Tinder, you can ignore, reject, or tap to match their approach.

If you tap to say you're interested, the employer will get your name and email address so they can take things further if they like.

Other top firms on the app include Allen & Overy, Linklaters, Osborne Clarke, Freshfields, Ashurst, Baker McKenzie, Travers Smith, Bird & Bird, Dentons, RPC, Burges Salmon, Clifford Chance, Pinsent Masons, DLA Piper, CMS, Eversheds Sutherland, Macfarlanes, Winckworth Sherwood, TLT, Slaughter and May, Norton Rose Fulbright, BDB Pitmans, BCLP, Clyde & Co, Hogan Lovells, Addleshaw Goddard, Herbert Smith Freehills, Clarke Willmott, Mishcon de Reya, Sackers, Withers, Hill Dickinson, Shoosmiths, and Dechert.

Matches are happening day by day, so if you’re not there, join up, already – it’s the app that only brings good news.

If you’re an employer wanting to know more, email [email protected].
