why would you go to trouble of printing and email

and then scanning it in to forward as an attachment?!

I'd only do this if I had suffered a traumatic head injury and forgotten how to use a computer properly.

If only sending part of what is a chain of emails then yes. Otherwise would prolly fwd as attachment rather than just forward if concerned it might subsequently be dicked about with.

definitely printed.

there is no chain. and the person concerned wouldn't know about meta data and headers etc if it slapped them in the face

I encourage my team to do random stuff like this to mess with the other side if the other side are khunts who over analyse everything.

I keep paper files (and electronic records). Sometimes the email is from before the emails are stored so very occasionally will be able to scan it from the paper file simply because I no longer hold the electronic email.
