Yeah if that was in England it would be full (as all the games in the last world cup were). The Indians are only interested in watching their own team.
Anyone know how much tickets are? I guess the average Indian cannot attend everything.
Given the venues were shifted around ridiculously late I’d imagine the ticketing was the usual ICC/BCCI debacle and that was as much the issue .mad ticket prices. Sadly they’re not interested in paying spectators, only TV viewers, which is short sighted as it’s more of a spectacle with a full house.
They needed my optimism at the start of the day but been manic. By the time I tuned in it’s too late for anything.
Just goes to show that strategic pessimism is not the way to go.
(Told you they should have had Topley instead of Woakes, if he’d bowled a couple early to match Curran’s early wicket it would have been a very different story).

No fans there either. Shocking for an opener.

We need to get our skates on here. Slow run rates batting 1st are no good at all.

Average first innings score at this ground is about 230 apparently so this score will be above par.

Pattern of the summer repeating here. Too many wickets falling too regularly to win this tournament.

Clever strategy RR. Talk the team down early. Reverse psychology.

I am trying to lure Jim onto the thread with relentless pessimism. He normally can't resist.

Someone tell them that it’s T50, not T20.
Great Mike Gatting tribute by Root there. Pointless reverse sweep

5 over slog from Curran, Rashid and Woodsy and it will look pretty competitive

Disappointing start with the ball. Rashid and Ali needed to take a couple of wickets.
