I went there for one night 15 years ago when I was in love and poor.

I have to stay in Giudecca for one night but have 3 other nights free ...

Any recs re food, hotels, airbnb, anything?

There was a piazza next to the fish market and the canal not on the San Marco side which had some great inside and outside bars. I think Campo di San Silvestro from the maps, but maybe not. What was brilliant about Venice was just wandering round and seeing what amazing places you might come across.

One left-field suggestion is San Servolo. About 10 mins by water boat from San Marco, basically an idyllic grassy walled rock in the sea. Was absolutely gorgeous and a nice break from the crazy hustle and bustle of the main island. Used to be a mental asylum and there is a museum there which would have been amazing - just a shame we went on a day it wasn’t open. On the other hand, there are some university buildings there so whilst it was quiet when we went it might be busier at other times of the year.

The OP’s name reminds me of an autogen player Insigned on FM18, calmed Yonaider Cuy. Colombian utility forward. Bagged a few goals and assists for my Swindon side in our early premier league campaigns - en route to our Europa League triumph.

We hired an Air BnB in Dosadura a few years ago near the famous fruit barge in San Barnaba. Pretty low key compared to around St Marks but easy to get everywhere and pleasant too on the Vaporetta. Nice and quiet at night as well.

Plenty of non-tourist trap restaurants around there which serve good value food and Venetian wine is great but underappreciated outside Venice.

if you don't have a Rof watch type of budget, then Hotel dei Dragomanni is in a fantastic location (5 min walk to s marco or Accademia bridge) with a traghetto stop nearby and good local bars on campo santo stefano. Otherwise - I'd stay dorsoduro near the Salute or Guggenheim. If budget is your thing, stay on the Lido and take the bus over. Definitely take at trip to Murano / Burano.
