er this guy and his similarly brain-worms-addled mates tried to persuade the UK government to commit to purchasing a vaccine from a company in which they owned stock on the basis that no other vaccine would work because of "lab leak"

they then tried to bully Nature into publishing their paper, even going to the lengths of complaining to the publishers and claiming that they were being denied because of Chinese influence

they aggressively touted their theory to various governmental officials and intelligence agencies, to be met with disinterest, which they then misrepresented to others as being very keen interest

it is a bit insane
