Can these guys tap your phone lines and snoop in your emails? 
 

If so, what do they need to show a judge in order to get access?

P.s. I'm not a crim I swear. I watched a police documentary last night and was amazed at how the SFO caught a county lines drug gang. I thought that tapping phone lines and secretly adding cameras to warehouses was the stuff of Hollywood.
