Felt particularly sorry for him as his gangling gait was very reminiscent of a young CJ. However, I didn’t bowl a single no ball in my 30+ year career (plenty of wides though). Might be why I never cracked the international scene as I was willing to get close enough to the line to risk it.

Reminded me of poor Scotty Boswell.
But wides are more understandable than no bowls. Unbelievable he didn’t just move his mark back a foot to become 100% certain.

I remember Vic Marks used to sometimes deliver the ball from at least a yard short of the crease, and completely befuddle the batter.
