Yes every week Apple music put together a new music playlist bssed on your listening habits and also they have a section with every new single or album.
I listen to the radio. There used to be a local station that played good new music but they have changed the format. It’s a bit hit and miss now. I might try Apple as I am a bit dated.
Used to be the user created Spotify playlists - there are so many and across all levels of all genres. So just search for a genre or term you're interested in and there are likely a few playlists that serve as a decent intro.
Unfortunately I moved over to Tidal due to the sound quality of Spotify being so bad but Tidal is utter rubbish for user created playlists. Presumably due to the lack of users.
Back in the day the P2P filesharing platform Soulseek was excellent for this. It appealed to people who fancied themselves as musos. You could view people's entire collections - which were inevitably organised by genre - then just download direct from their files. Don't know whether Soulseek is still going tho.
