tricky one for him, if the merger goes ahead he will be just one of the Grand Tour team (and can't see him getting TdF priority ahead of Jonas unless Jonas was injured), whereas at Ineos would be the GT leader. He can presumably name his salary at both teams.
I mean in a sense it's not a tricky decision from a career perspective but he'd be leaving the ecosystem he knows better and the more Belgian / Flemish approach (tho query whether that will be diluted fairly significantly if they merge with Jumbo).
