Flat and lovely all the way round, but beware headwinds on the last bit of the return leg.

Yeah the headwind on the last mile and a half can be absolutely brutal. It's a nice race, but slightly sadistic route design putting that stretch at the end. 

Winding down on races now.  Especially because a friend of mine just did a 1:10 half/m at the weekend.  Utterly depressing.

I have done it twice and concur with the headwindmare in the Southsea seafront bit. Farkin hell.

Best bit is when you get the runner pics and your face is somewhere behind your ears on the last stretch.
