I am quick to criticise the boys and girls in blue when I think they get it wrong (and your defence of the Nicola Bulley diving team in the face of the fact that that is stuff I actually know about still rankles) but I am in awe of the two coppers who were injured by that twot with a samurai sword. The fact that they went towards him for public safety in spite of their own is admirable almost beyond words.

I’m probably past my patrolling days now but very much hope I’d have done the same.
On the NB point, I have to say that all the facts appear to bear out my side not yours I’m afraid. The investigation into the incident made several extremely valid criticisms such as not declaring a critical incident, no NDA for Mr so-called searching expert and some serious media mistakes but also , “The report did praise the police investigation and search itself, describing it as "very well conducted and resourced".
