it's an app thing, same as Netflix. If your TV is stupid, you need a box to smarten it.
I had it, but binned it once I'd watched what I wanted to watch. You get HD, but not 4k.
I'd drop Prime and do 3 months of Now, then switch Now to Disney+ for a bit. Constantly paying for lots of services is a bit of a waste - you get more out of 'em if you do 6 months on/6 off.
you can get 4K on NowTV if you get the box. You can't through the app, but you can get HD. I like mine, easy to cancel but equally easy to get good deals.
Hint - it you get NowTV, don't get broadband as part of the same package as you'll never be able to take advantage of the good TV/cinema/sport deals as you have a bundle. I have their fibre broadband through one account and i am logged into NowTV through another, which means i get the deals.
I’m on a free trial of now tv, via an app on the Xbox.
Its pretty decent, seems cheap for the entertainment pack that I have compared to sky. But if you take it for sports (which costs a lot more) worth noting that you can’t get BT sport on it unlike sky.
NowTV is actually ok with the cheapish box but if you are overly picky about picture quality and a good interface then get Sky Q and stop being a cheapskate.
I've used Now to watch rugby games and the like that I wouldn't had access to but my TV is too old to have the app and don't think my old BT box supported it either.
Saturday will see Sky's third attempt to set up my new TV box and we'll see if they actually turn up this time.
NowTV is basically Sky without the live stuff yes?
I spend more time watching Netflix on my Sky Q boxes than I do anything else. It is a great box for playing Netflix but a somewhat expensive way to do so...
Also annoyed because their weird Broadband service left me unable to properly set up my full Ubiqiti internet setup I wanted to go for despite a huge amount of time pissing around trying to get it to authenticate properly without their shitty router.
Sky is crap and very expensive for what you get unless you like football.
Just get a FireTV dongle to stick in the back of your TV and hook it up to your wifi. You have access to all the big streaming services.
Pay for what you want but Netflix and Amazon Prime alone for about £8.00 per month will give you access to over 10,000 movies, a massive range of TV series from sixty or seventy different countries and the BBC and ITV are also there for free.
you need 100mbps for 8K which doesn't really exist in a meaningful way yet. Wellers is the nobba blowing about how fast his car goes, but he drives slow on the driveway
I realised that I only really watch it for footy once a month or cricket. Now that GOT has gone asunder, I cant see why I am being fleeced for so much to be able to wat h Harry Potter and die hard
Never ever virgin again . I had it whilst at uni and it was so slow it was not worth having. The engineer visited a dozen times at least and it never improved. He then admitted it won’t as they were leasing from an old moribund platform , and that’s why it’s cheap . Add into the mix 50000 students in a small area living in old solid buildings mate the signal slow as fvck .
then in London it was even worse , completely unusable, engineer visited 20 times plus and they eventually gave up and offered us 6 months free broadband. Six months free of nothing !
We cope with a Prime stick and Netflix sub, though that would be the cost of a Sky entertainment package if we were not constantly ordering stuff from Amazon. Not having sport is an annoyance for stuff like away tests. Kids seem to miss Sky as they say there are better cartoons on it.
US open on Prime (£8), Eurosport for Australian (and I assume French?) (£7). Cricket trickier but I think you can get Channel 5 highlights for Eng home tests and then just cough up for Now TV when you want to watch live play. I guess you could also use a VPN to try and mask your location and somehow get e.g. Willow TV.

I am prepared to rent it to you should you wish.

I had NowTV for a month last year when they offered it for £10.
Not bad. Played it though the app on the TV or through the xbox. Wouldn't have it every month though and certainly wouldn't pay £10 for a day.
I can see Amazon Prime picking most of it up soon anyway.

Get Virgin Media
1) Virgin broadband is the only acceptably fast broadband in the UK
2) You can add Sky / BT Sports to Virgin plus Sky movies
3) You can watch Amazon Prime and Netflix through your TV or Virgin Media box
The only thing you miss out on is Sky Atlantic, in which case you just get a Now TV pass when there is something on there you want to watch.

Wellers talking shite non shocka.
This was taken yesterday whilst I downloaded a game on Xbox pass.

Not on Virgin, I’m with non subscription service called “Direct save” which costs about £40 a month including line rental and free landline calls.

anyone who think virgin are better than sky is a full on, bonafide retard.

Virgin broadband kicks the living shit out of Sky.
Sky average speed is circa 59mps, my Vrigin is clocking in at over 350mps
hence I can get pornography on my telly quicker and in better quality.
