A group of law students called the Auckland Law Revue have produced a music video to showcase their skills for a career outside of law to demonstrate that there's room for creativity within law.

The students' video parodies a song "Green Light" by electropop artist Lorde. Whilst the original version was about kissing and lighting up the dance floor, the students have altered the lyrics to focus on the less sexy subject of commuting in Auckland. The song criticises traffic gridlock, shoddy bus and rail services, as well as motorists doing "their best to get you killed". The law students' motive could be to highlight transport infrastructure and funding issues in the city, or it might just be an attempt to tunefully list excuses when they're late for lectures.

This is not the first music video created by the Auckland Law Revue. Other works include an imitation of Justin Bieber's song "Sorry"  with lyrics changed to focus on race relations in New Zealand, as well as a parody of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines".
