Two comedians booked to perform for judges at the Tasmanian Family Law Conference have waived their fee after members of the audience stormed out in disgust at their sexy set.
The Sharon Molls, a Melbourne-based female comedy duo, were booked by an open-minded individual to entertain judges and their families at the conference, which was hosted by the Chief Justice of the Family Court. The duo, one half of which is the award winning art director Lynda Thompson, are well known for their risqué musical-comedy act. But not well known enough, it seems, in Tasmania.
Apparently the judges found it all too much when the couple simulated sex on the stage. Several left the room in disgust led by the Chief Justice of the High Court and his wife, according to a Sydney Morning Herald report. It seems that The Sharon Molls' choice of judicial robe as costumes added insult to injury.
A spokeswoman for the Family court said "nobody has paid for the performance as they have advised that no payment is sought".
