The Good Foundation, which is partnered with UK chef Jamie Oliver to set up Jamie's Ministry of Food Australia, has employed Maddocks as its sole legal adviser.

The Jamie Oliver empire is a large one, having conquered the UK and States (despite crying after fat Virginians were mean to him). And now Australia, fast becoming one of the most obese nations, is firmly in his sights. The idea is to set up Ministry of Food centres across the nation encouraging health and nutrition by educating people about diet-related diseases and teaching basic recipes.

And Maddocks is the proud law firm instructed to make this all happen. Or at least make sure all the paperwork is completed. The CEO of Maddocks is understandably delighted about the high profile new addition to the firm's client roster. "We are very excited by the prospect of working together" he gushed to the New Lawyer, "...to help them achieve their goal of making our country a healthier and happier place."

Although the firm may wish to be a little more circumspect about its new client. Oliver is coming under fire for looking a little on the portly side himself. Facing questions about his less than streamlined physique at a press conference this week, Oliver retorted "are you from a tabloid? Thank you for noticing you b*tch". Sensitive, much?
