The partner in charge of DWF's Newcastle office, alleged to have been absent from the office for several months on sick leave, has been spotted completing the 13 mile Great North Run.

John Flynn was poached from regional big hitter, Golden Turd winner and merger target Dickinson Dees in May 2011, and brought in to head up DWF's new office on Tyneside. Sadly, according to reports elsewhere, the first year's bedding in process wasn't easy. The Lawyer reported at the beginning of July that DWF would soon be losing Flynn's services due to "integration difficulties", and that he hadn't been spotted in the office for some time (although he's still on the DWF website).

This week sources at the firm told RollOnFriday that Flynn is officially on sick leave, and has been since before these "integration difficulties" were reported. Still, at least that gives him plenty of time to practice running (one of his great loves). He certainly trains hard, posting an impressive time of 1.48.12 seconds and coming 7,069th out of all 55,000 runners. You can check out a picture of him haring towards the finish line here.

The firm failed to respond to several requests for comment. If you know more, drop RollOnFriday an anonymous line here.
