RollOnFriday can exclusively reveal that all of Ashurst's London-based US Securities partners are leaving the firm.

It's not been confirmed where the three - Daniel Bushner, Eric Stuart and Marie Elena Angulo - will be going, but rumours suggest that it may be Jones Day.

Ashurst has had a run of departing partners recently - the firm has lost around 40 over the last couple of years (albeit some may not have left of their own volition). But whilst these most recent departures can hardly be seen as good news, rumours that they herald a crisis for the firm appear wide of the mark. Sources suggest that there will be an imminent announcement of partner hires in this area: watch this space.

A spokeswoman for the firm confirmed that the three partners were leaving but would offer no further comment other than to wish them well.

++EXCLUSIVE STOP PRESS++

Sensationally, as the Ashurst three leave to join Jones Day, two senior Jones Day partners have today quit the firm. RollOnFriday has learnt that Russell Carmedy, partner in charge of the London office, and Mike Nouril, the firm's European head of private equity, have both resigned and are thought to be joining Proskauer. No-one at the firm was available to comment.
