And we were going to do a list of footballing type places... but to be honest we became pre-occupied with a new restaurant that is churning our butter in all the right places: L'Art du Fromage.

This little Chelsea wonder, which opened at the start of the year, is clearly destined for stardom. There's nothing like it anywhere in London - sure, there are places that does fondue, there are even a few places to get raclette, but no where else can you get served such wonderful dishes prepared with love, care and a heavy smattering of expertise.

Some runny cheese (sorry)

The French (who else would you expect?) couple who own this slice of cheesy heaven clearly love the business they're in as they serve up dishes with brief bits of information to let you better understand what you're eating - and they're clearly keen to chat at length as to their favourite cheeses.

The food itself is brilliant with the aforesaid raclette an absolute must-have. Be warned - it's a hefty meal and, since it's eat as much as you like, you may want to hold off on the starters. We understand the current record is 2 slices of raclette, 3 plates of meat and two bowls of potatoes - between a couple.... They must have been starving.

If you do go in for a starter, we can heartily recommend the foie gras (conscience aside) and the slightly less controversial but equally tasty escargots.

All in all, this friendly little restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
