Claire Burton of Blandy & Blandy solictors, Reading, is having a second gap year undertaking a fine charitable trip to southern India in October.

The trip, organised through Raleigh International in conjunction with the junior lawyers division of the Law Society, will involve Claire and 11 others - all legal professsionals. Tough crowd.

The group of volunteers will spend two weeks helping to build bio-gas plants to provide fuel, heating, fertiliser and a form of waste disposal to the inhabitants of a remote village, which is all very splendid and tremendous.
