A few times a week RoF About Town aims to keep you informed about some of the gems littered around London.

Whether it's a bar, a restaurant or somewhere new to buy those casual Friday shirts... keep reading for our finds.

Our first foray into the blogosphere - is there a better way to kick things off than our favourite dim sum restaurant in London - Cheun Cheng Ku?

Arguably the premier dim sum spot in Chinatown (which means it's amongst the cream of the crop in our opinion), the dishes may be tiny little parcels, but they are stuffed to the steaming brim with flavour.

Steamed, fried or stewed, they are a brilliant lunchtime meal - especially when accompanied by a miscellany or roasted meats. It's bound to keep you in your seat for all your spare loafing hours. It's amazing - £15 a head will get you a great feed (and in record time as the trolleys bearing the delights roll by thick and fast).

Dim sum is also available in edible forms

There's not a better place for authentic yum cha (aka dim sum). We've been sampling the delicacies here for decades which probably explains our snobbish attitude to other dim sum providers (as well as our considerable largesse). In our humble opinion there isn't a better place for a loafer to get his lunch.

When you're next along be sure to try our favourite Siu Mai (steamed pork and prawn dumplings), Char Siu Bao (pork filled steamed buns) and the excellent Har Gau (steamed prawn dumplings). Oh and get the crispy pork belly which is far too tasty to be healthy.
