Our recent excursion into the parks during daylight hours proved to be something of a mistake. We happily supped cold drinks but neglected to spread some of that suncream on. As such, we look like Terry Butcher sans bandages. Our face is like a baboon's rectum - nice, shiny and red. In the circumstances, we've decided to search for a dark den to drown our sorrows until our beacon-like-forehead stops attracting landing aircraft. The booze will hopefully numb the pain too.

In the circumstances we have been very lucky to be let into Milk and Honey - one of those Rushmore Group places that requires membership (though we've come here several times without it being an issue. Do members actually exist? It's like paying for those premium seats in the cinema - just buy normal and sit there anyway... no one pays for it... [RollOnFriday does not encourage you to infringe any laws. Any purchasable benefits should be paid for upon request]).

Terry Butcher paid the price for a lack of suncream

Milk and Honey was always going to be a winner for us seeing as milk and honey is one of our all-time favourite childhood drinks (that we actually never gave up so really it's just one of our hood drinks). We couldn't find it on the menu here, but then there was plenty to choose from - wines, beers, low-alcohol cocktails and even (strangely) hot drinks and flips (think hot toddies). There's also an eye-watering range of whiskies from pretty much any country you'd choose to drink from. Clearly, this is where those membership fees get spent. Actually, more than just that - the drinks here are reassuringly expensive, but not offensively so.

As if that wasn't enough, there's also food with an impressive amount of bar food (ranging from sausages and pies to oysters, tiger prawn tempura and lamb chops). You will not go hungry whilst quaffing here. This is as good as most restaurants in the UK but only purports to be a bar food for grazing and snacking....

Milk and Honey from heaven itself. The Rushmore Group is quickly persuading us that membership to whatever they're offering is a good idea.
