Happy times in Wisbech this week as conveyancer Ian Groome from the town of March celebrated 25 years of service with law firm Bowser, Ollard and Bentley Solicitors.

To celebrate his silver anniversary with the firm, sadly Groome did not appear to receive any appropriate silver-based gifts. Instead he had to make do with a buffet in the Wisbech office and a meal for two later in the year.

Brian Bowser, the firm's pleasingly-named senior partner, joshed "If he's with the firm for another 25 years he can take the grandfather clock with him".

Groome doesn't look like he's laughing.
