We've been feeling a little poor of late, what with birthdays, binges and rent colliding together to create a black-hole of poverty around RoF Towers so we decided to trek over to our favourite cheap eatery for some food that won't cost the earth (literally - it won't cost dirt).

We normally love shelling out loads for our food because, as everyone who works at a Magic Circle firm knows, money guarantees quality. However, once in a while our low low journalist's wage is stretched so thin it is mere puff. As such, we must take drastic measures to ensure our bulk remains bulky. Normally, we would invite ourselves over to our friend's place on the pretence of wanting to watch Made In Chelsea (or similar) with close friends whilst supping on home-made food. Unfortunately, MIC has made my eyes bleed and I couldn't actually eat anything so it was a wasted venture.

If this were a house, we would live in it (and eat for free).

As such, we wandered over to Goodge Street where cheap restaurants flock together to keep warm. In the heart of the huddle is the Italian Coffee Company (affectionately known as ICCo) which probably sells coffee, but we're more interested in their astonishingly cheap pizzas which put the money we've spent at expresses and huts into shameful perspective. For as little as £3.50 you can take away a sizeable and well made pizza. That's impressive. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to spend more than £8 in total (including a drink) to sit in and chow down on their special pizzas (like the breakfast/brunch pizza featuring sausage, egg and mushroom).

The pizzas are cooked fresh whilst you wander off to find a table with a buzzer in hand to alert you for service. It's quick, well made and tasty - £5 meals have never tasted so good.
