The Bar Pro Bono Unit is organising an abseil down the 164ft Mersey Tunnel Ventilation Shaft on Sunday 26 September. And it looks terrifyingly high.
The insane brave climbers will include barristers, clerks, their families (the youngest climber is only 11) and friends. All of the abseilers are raising much-needed funds for the Bar Pro Bono Unit, which helps people who do not have the means to access justice and get the help they need.
