The Kick inside is a truly great debut album , but The Dreaming , and Hounds of Love and some of the others are great too. Certainly very little stuff released by KB is in any way disappointing. Though some may need a bit of effort and more than a casual listen.
U2 and Echo & the Bunnymen don't count here do they. Both debut albums were superb and it spurred both of them on to do better. They did, but U2 probably won in the end.
