Either they feel it may impair a great trade deal with Iran, or they don't want to part of the EU doing anything good.
Some of the MEPs tweeted some sped-up footage of the MEPs leaving the voting chamber after the last vote of the day with "SEE!!!! THEY ARE LEAVING AS SOON AS THE VOTING IS DONE!!!"
@jimfelton responded "yep, going home at the end of the working day. Unlike our parliament that was suspended for 5 weeks 5 minutes after coming back from a 2 month holiday."
Doesn't it make you angry that the MEPs from the party you voted for a few months ago can't be arsed to show up and do the job you pay them to do, Dux?

I don't particularly care about the 0.01p I contribute to their salaries.
But it does make me angry that they're not more vocal in trying to secure the release of one of HM's subjects, yes.
The more I think about it, the more embarrassing it is that MEPs from 27 other countries participated in this vote concerning a British citizen imprisoned in Iran, and the British MEPs who no doubt consider themselves the most patriotic didn't.
Remember the David Pacifico affair. As Palmerston said, a Gibraltarian Jew living in Athens deserves the support of the British government if he's a subject of the Crown.

I mean, I know they are a bunch of shitheads, but...why?

I believe you already answered that question.

But it's not Brexit related.

Oh right, so that's why they abstained. I have misjudged them and am truly sorry.

It seems that some turned up to vote in favour, others abstained. More laziness than a deliberate act.

Not that it matters. What's the point of voting? We should just boycott the sh*t out of Iran instead.

So they’re incompetent rather than evil. Well, there’s an improvement.

They all abstained as far as I can tell.

Perhaps you should write to your MEP and tell them that. They work for you, after all.

Can Brexit MEPs read?

Is it because she is black?
Or are they just doing a Sinn Fein?

I suppose they don't really consider her British.

Is it because Naz is a Remainer?

Well they should consider her British. She is.

Last month you were complaining that they had no policies other than Brexit. ... ...
Make your mind up

Was that addressed to me?
Maybe they abstained because they're all so fooking stupid they don't actually know who she is.
