Khashoggi trial...

“Saudi Arabia’s public prosecutor on Thursday formally requested the death penalty for five suspects in the killing of the Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi, but provided no new information about the murder or the investigation into how it happened”.

I wonder what you would feel like as one of the unfortunate 5 stooges selected for execution... ...sorry, trial?

Saudi Arabia, what an odious country.

Well if you asked for views on the proposition that p00 was smelly or cheap watches were an abomination you wouldn't get much response either:  it's a simple statement of fact requiring no comment.

I think it will be the beginning of the end of the world, though.

Places like SA can only maintain control through their enforcers, who can only be kept sweet by preferential treatment.  Hanging so many of them out to dry so publicly will break the bond that exists between the masters and the enforcers, who will eventually turn.  The country will crack.  Russia, the US, Israel and New Zealand will all step in either directly or through proxies, and then, well...when the wind blows...

Incidentally, I hadn't realised When The Wind Blows was written by Raymond Briggs, of Snowman and Snowman and Snowdog fame.

This hasnt come as much of a suprise, has it. And its probably not the first time nor the last that a Saudi has been executed for following orders. (Ofc the Crowned Prince says it was not on his orders or that there was some confusion, either way his cover up wont be too difficult inside the KSA).

Maybe it’ll be like in fallout where the railroad give new faces to synths who run away from the institute and then mind wipe them, creating new personalities in the process with no recollection of the fact that they even are synths!
