Sadiq Khan's traitorous fireworks

Khan used the fireworks / NYE parade to boost his pro-EU credentials. If I was a leave-voting Londoner and my taxes were funding this kind of propaganda I might be upset too.

None of this has anything to do with the fact EU citizens can vote for him of course..

do brexiteers really think brexit (i.e. the UK leaving a complicated economic integration with 30 odd members) is the same as a south american dictatorship invading a british colony?

Fred do you really think Sadiq called the firework people and asked them to include a blue circle with some stars round the edge?  I suspect that whoever was dealing with the fireworks within City Hall thought it would be funny and is currently in Sadiq's office finding out just how angry he can get.

I'm going on Sadiq's relentless pro-EU facebook campaign over the past few months, and the fact he led the People's Vote rally in London.

He's entitled to reflect his city's overall views and there's a clear voting advantage. I'm just saying if I was firmly leave and my taxes were paying for this stuff I might be annoyed.

Still not proof her personally ordered it and I'm not convinced that he actually writes and posts his own tweets albeit he'll have set policies on what they say.

That second tweet doesn't even show the offending firework.

If you're asking me, no I don't think it's comparable and it's a slightly silly analogy.

That said, displaying the EU stars seems a bit odd when we're about to leave. It's a bit like waving the CARICOM flag. Random.

The London thinking man's myth - it wasn't us it was the shires.  look at the votes u blinkered douchebags (that's a good mixed metaphor tbf).  1/3 people in london voted for this absolute clusterfook.  Unless people with power (and I realise i am not speaking to them) realise this - things can only get shytter.  as d'ream will probably say on the reunion tour

SG acts as though there is a 90% mandate for EU membership here but there abso isn't

the support for Leave wasn't THAT much less than the support for independence

Clergs I remember being in a weekly all firm meeting shortly b4 the vote when our senior partner told people how they ought to vote.
