Not just Tories - politicians as a breed. The same thing happened to Blair - but he basically jumped when he saw the sharks were circling. It's pretty primal (and primate) behaviour.
Could be the nutcases most stupid move yet. Given that even right wingers like Gove and Fox are backing her something huge would have to happen for her to lose the vote. If anything this could be her saving.
Spectator has an interesting line on it. 48 is not easy to get but if they do and she wins then they can’t vote her out for 12 months.
So there are a bunch of people who wouldn’t send a letter now (as they’d rather knife her post Brexit) but who may well not be prepared to commit to another 12 months of her at the helm.
I thought shed said shed go after negotiating brexit anyway. Certainly ties in with the this is what id said id do line. And also yesterday when she said I’ve done my bit, now its up to mps in debate. I think that from now on she’ll just go with the flow. Put the deal before mps and then not her responsibility what sort of a hash they make of it.

Only 20 letters according to the graun.

But TMPM may well survive a no confidence vote anyway.
