A lawyer has suggested that the New Zealand couple who unwittingly had sex in full view of a crowd of strangers have not had their privacy violated.

Dozens of patrons at the Carlton Bar and Eatery in Christchurch, and the house band, stopped to watch and cheer as the oblivious pair undressed and had sex on a table in the office of Marsh Ltd, an insurance company, opposite. Some recorded the monkey business, and footage quickly spread across social media.

But although both were easily identifiable (which is particularly problematic because the man is married, but not to his co-star), privacy law specialist Katherine Dalziel says the gonzo porno directors have done nothing wrong. Speaking on NZ radio, Dalziel said that while "you're not allowed to film people covertly", particularly "if it involves nudity and things like that", the close colleagues forfeited their right to a private bang because they were in a public place.

Marsh Ltd chief executive Grant Milne said the company was investigating, and presumably also wiping down Marjorie's desk which they rogered on so spectacularly. "We know who is involved", he said. "It's obvious from the photos".
