WTF - how could you plead this mitigation with a straight face

I am sure the bloke had no idea his dogs were going to do that, but he should never be allowed to get the one that still lives back and should probably be prohibited from ever owning a pet again. If you can't control your pet then you are their pet.

I was in the park yesterday with the children. A pastoral village setting. A slightly rough looking pair came along in a big car with one of these dogs. Her, 50s dumpy. Him, 60 ish burly. The dog, just like the one in the photo. They let their dog do a nice sprinkle over the gatepost before going in.

Obviously they wanted to give the dog a nice run around the tennis courts with the lead off but in order to get to the tennis courts they had to go through the area with the swings etc. It must be difficult to let it off the lead anywhere else. She scowled at me a bit and muttered something about looking at her dog.  Funny old world.
