the woman suing Paul, Weiss for £136m

wtf!

her lawyer seems to be her! so yeah

does the firm sound vile, tho?? I will reread. I am not saying they aren't vile I jsut think signing up for a cambridge PhD and expecting jewish holidays is weird.

I would not be so sure about an insanely massive settlement.

Law, an MBA, now Cambridge - a perpetual student not satisfied with private practice... has she thought about mitigating her £136 million loss by becoming an Olympic cyclist?

she is very interesting as a character

presumably driven by some sort of perfectionist urge to complete all these high value tasks that never bring her inner satisfaction

it is impressive that despite the regular changes she still manages to command such senior roles tbh she must be very smart

Aren't employment claims capped or are there exceptions in certain circumstances where it is lifted - one of them being sexual discrimination?

It's sex discrimination, not sexual discrimination.

See also garden leave, not gardening leave.

Discrimination claims are uncapped, but when you look at actual awards, they are generally very low.  Sometimes substantiated claims by very highly paid individuals (because damages are for losses) can run into the millions.
