OK, I give in. I am a bit concerned now.  This is now a total fvck up and there is nobody with any sort of sensible plan to fix it/realistic way out.  Even if we cancelled Brexit tomorrow (which isn't going to happen given no major political party supports that approach) it's very difficult to see how the relationship with Europe would work going forward and the calls for Brexit would hardly stop.

Can somebody please explain how this going to be OK cos at the moment I can only see two outcomes either a no deal Brexit in March or a 3 to 6 month delay and then a no deal Brexit in 3 to 6 months time.

There doesn't seem to be anybody who actually has an alternative plan that the EU possibly might agree to.

I think the focus has to shift to a managed/mitigated no deal scenario but it still feels like nobody is really engaging with it.

I'd say soft Brexit with a customs union since sensible Labour and Tory remainers would surely back it. That was however one of May's 'red lines' so would be a real shift in position.

I mean, Labour generally and Tory remainers would back it. You lose freedom of movement but could sell the many positives. By this point I reckon the public are so fed up there wouldn't be much resistance.

I said that a couple of days ago Ray, and got my head bitten off by a bunch of Europeans who seemed convinced that the UK will not be allowed to rejoin under any circumstances and even daring to make that suggestion is a prime example of "British exceptionalism".

Parliament will only allow remain or a softish brexit - therefore that is what will happen eventually - you can fight gravity for a bit but eventually you run out of fuel - the exact way it will happen is not entirely clear at the moment.

Donny I've been saying for a while that my biggest fear is that we postpone it and have another referendum and get the same result and just end up back here after another six months of chaos.

It was always a mistake to ask the likes of Auntie Ethel down in Dorset or Wayne and Gary in Saunthorpe to vote on anything of this importance. Ill educated, not well travelled and easily manipulated by people with personal agendas.

Cancel the whole thing ffs and get back to normal. Stay in the EU.
