I wear a Fitbit arm watch thingy and it monitors my steps, heart rate and sleep. You know the drill
The sleep aspect has — I feel — really improved since the early days (I got my first such device around 2015). Really detailed data and — if the device says that I woke up during a REM cycle — it is always the case that I was dreaming prior to alarm going off
Today I got my first ever score of 90 points or over (I got 92/100). Over 90 min of deep sleep and over 120 min of REM sleep
(Quite scary how much info this little fvcker collects about me — it even has built-in GPS, which I have disabled — but I try not to think about that)
I ain’t Tony the Tiger but I feel GREAT. Just went for a walk with our lab and for the first time I swear I felt better and more energized than he did first thing
Typically struggle to hit 70/100 if I have consumed alcohol before bed. Why is it that the best things are so bad for us (in all sorts of ways)?
Anyway, have a nice day, guys!

I’m quite envious. I wake up at 6:10 on the dot pretty regularly, sometimes earlier if I’m in a particularly gruelling cycle of burnout (scooting closely at the moment). I haven’t felt really well rested for a while.

Just woken up after briefly waking for a few minutes in the night. See other posts for Me - v - Sleep and how I won the battle.

Let's hope China isn't working on a sleep weapon.
They probably are tho I reckon.
I feel like I sleep pretty well on the whole but if I measured it and got a low score this could precipitate a downward spiral.

Do you feel the sleep score affects your perception of how you feel that day?

If you’re asking me, John, I’d say no
I rarely wake up, feel great and refreshed and then see that I scored much lower than expected
If I score low (and feel tired) my circumstances typically allow me to take a quick afternoon nap
86/100 this morning (and I will stop the running commentary now)
