"Scientific certainty"

I don't know if this has been posted, but here's a delicious story of an expert witness making an utter fool of himself and the people who instructed him.

It's the Chris Packham case; the defendants alleged he'd forged a death threat against himself backed by an expert who said it was a 'scientific certainty' that the person who wrote the death threat was the same person who'd completed Companies House filings for a/the company operated by Mr Packham.

Amusingly, the filings had been completed - not by Mr Packham - but by an accountant....
