Sam Heslop Dissappearance - Paging Sails

Any thoughts on what happened? Think you said you knew people who knew her?

The bf is a scumbag with a conviction for  domestic violence.

The lady who disappeared from her boyfriend’s boat?  No idea as it all went quiet when they didn’t find her or any evidence that anything had happened to her on the boat.

Given that it was the Caribbean the possibilities are myriad but very few of them have a good outcome.  Boyfriend sounds dubious but also wouldn't be at all surprised if he'd passed out after plenty of rum punch and she was grabbed off the deck by locals and dumped out at sea.

"...wouldn't be at all surprised if he'd passed out after plenty of rum punch and she was grabbed off the deck by locals and dumped out at sea."

WTF? Why wouldn't you be surprised, despite, apparently absolutely no indication whatsoever that they might be involved?  Despite the fact that, according to a quick google, the boyfriend took 9 hours to call the coastguard, he has always refused to allow authorities on board to search the boat, her phone and wallet were untouched and left on the boat, the dude has been convicted of at least one count of domestic violence, he apparently changed out some parts of the boat (including the freezer) after her disappearance, and has now conveniently sold the boat for, apparently, around 25% of its actual value.

Is it because you assume that the locals, being the savages that they are, just wouldn't be able to help themselves?

Of course, it is possible that some locals are involved, because there are sh1tty people everywhere who do appalling, sh1tty tings, but in this case, it would, actually, be entirely surprising.

I know you like to think that you are somehow "different", and that you don't see things the same way that us normies do so you can just dribble out anything without thinking, but do try not to be such a dickhead all of the time.

Have you spent much time in the Caribbean?  It's painted as a lovely tropical idyll but most of the islands are only a couple of steps from becoming the next Haiti and organised crime is rife.  Nothing to do with the locals being unable to help themselves but more likely enforcing a drug debt or similar.
