Dropped baggage and through security in 20 minutes. 2 hours closing off work shit and stuff. Never went near an airport lounge, just Costa, and I'm flying economy. Those two things will get me drummed off rof. lI am waiting to board so I can sleep!

i've flown economy my whole life but fook it, if there is a long haul flight - i'm getting that business ticket - small wins and all, plus my long legs are a pain in economy unless I get one of the good seats

Having slagged off Heathrow in the past, I arrived there last week on a long haul flight. I was through passport control, collected hold baggage and into arrivals within 20 minutes of the plane doors opening.

This is an insomniacs travel report. Business class on the old A330 that Malaysian use would NOT have been worth it.
I got upgraded from KL and while nice, the seats are only a little wider and it's not a full bed.i slept well for 4 hours though.
Food was amazing but its only an 8.5 hour hop so it was breakfast when we got on and dinner just before we landed. It was a turbulent flight so holding onto the glassware was a challenge.
Nice to be upgraded but it wouldn't have been worth 4k on top for me. Not with this going an older airframe.. .

FWIW the planes used on those regional routes often have a different business class to the ones used on proper long haul routes. But yeah, 4k buys a lot of souvenirs and you're still not going to have a great night sleep.
