The approach I usually take is to earn it in advance, so I don't feel sh1t about it (a) when I'm doing it or (b) if I don't work it off after as I've promised myself. I'm a bit more extreme but I did a marathon on a treadmill because I REALLY REALLY wanted a massive donner kebab. And it was the best donner kebab I have ever eaten, and only half of the calories I'd burned.
I dispute cheese with thin as a rake L4 regularly..... cheese fills you up and tends to help people lose weight. (L4 does not agree and has always hated it anyway).
Eat the cheese and don't drink much or any of the wine.

You don't.
You go, you enjoy, you get back on it the next day. It takes on average 3800 kcals on top of your 2000ish daily maintenance amount to gain a pound.
If you're eating in deficit to the 2k in the first place then 1 night on the cheese and wine will be fine.

Have a "good" day before or after. It all balances out over a week anyway in terms of cals in and cals out

Well, you should spit the wine out, so there's that.
Not sure of the protocols for cheese tasting; probably best not to spit that out. Just take small pieces.

Yesterday I had 1,052 cals
Today so far I have had 369
I really hate not being able to input accurate info into MyFitnessPal though

Your cals always seem to be very very low JC unless you're purposefully trying to lose weight. I'm your size and couldn't function on that few.
One day won't make a difference. Just limit it to 2 glasses of wine and a sensible amount of cheese.

I am actually on Day 139 of no booze.
I am 1.3 lbs heavier this morning than yesterday morning;
HOWEVER today compared to yesterday
muscle mass is up 0.9 per cent
fat mass is down 1 per cent
water up 0.7 per cent
