"Apart from that, who has an office plant? What sort of plant? Does it have a name?"
I did at my previous job. It was a small terranium. I called her Sharon as Sharon was a team secretary who had worked for the team for 28 years and was unceremoniously sacked by an arrogant, mentally fooked female boss.
Sharon today survives in the company in the custody of an ex-colleague and is placed bang in the middle of the main meeting room ...with the name tag on.
It was alive when she gave it to me. I'm just the kiss of death when it comes to plants. I can't bring myself to throw it away even though it is clearly dead. :-(
This is too fooking weird. Less than an hour ago was discussing off board with Wango various slebs seen in respective neighbourhoods, one of which in my case was......Nick Frost.
I had a large peace lily in the days when I had my own office. Now that I've been relegated to open-plan (albeit in a partitioned area) I have a few cacti. No doubt in due course I'll be demoted to a Strutter-style pod and I'll keep a sad-looking daisy or something.

I have a dead miniature orchid that our last intern gave me when she left.

That's either a nice present, if it was alive when given, or, if dead when given, suggests she didn't have a great time there.

orchids are tricky and temperamental though, Anna.
That's why I think that a Peace Lily would be perfect for the office - low maintenance but also give off good vibes.

It’s the police one, the second in the cornetto trilogy.
