Looks like Farage's takeover of the Tories will shortly be complete

| BREAKING: Rishi Sunak refuses to rule out Nigel Farage joining the Tory Party

That plant crash was a real sliding doors moment for the Western world.  Why oh why did such a skilled pilot have to be flying him?

and has any party political leader ever been as utterly pathetic as Sunak?  Farage spent yesterday attending speeches and laughing with his rivals, and here he is inviting him to come on in.  It's physically painful to really thinkg about how much of a piss-weak flannel he is.

Will they FF?  They'd be really fvcked if they went with Braverman or Badenoch.  Racists the Old Git Roundabouts and the 3Duxs of this country will queue up to vote for Farage.

Threeps it’s the racists who’re backing Fvcking Suella and The Bad Enoch. These affluent ambitionistas do the dirty work, get promoted as beacons of multicultural achievement, and salve but stoke the nation’s post colonialist guilt, all the while keeping the country facing away from Europe, which is Farage’s real enemy.

Sunak is a cuck. Nige is basically boning his wife in the main hall and his mournful face is looking in through that big glass facade. He has invited him to come back next week. He will sit sadly in the park & has promised to get the PS5 ready etc etc

Threeps I’ve no doubt that he polls well in the more authentic parts of the East coast of England…

If the flabberati in the tory back benches are whispering about Farage joining, it's as leader ahead of next November, not to be LOTO.  It's an election strategy.  Sunak obviously wants him nowhere near his job but can do nothing but squirm mid-cucking in broad daylight.

Thank you for your application. We want you to know we receive thousands of similar applications each year. Unfortunately, yours had nothing to distinguish it from nearly all of the others and we will not be taking it forward to even the next tiny basic step everyone gets to. With every good wish for sucks to be you eh.

Farage joining would be the final nail in the coffin of the Tory party as we have known it.   It would have completed its transformation from a centre right pragmatic pro business christian democrat type party to a xenophobic populist nationalist party le Penn style.  The centre right in the UK will have died once and for all.

I think Farage would actually lead to a boost in the polls, but not by enough to win the election, and that would come at the cost of completely alienating everyone else.

Farage doesn't want to join the CP.  heh.  From the graun:

"Asked if he would let Farage rejoin, Sunak would not rule it out. He told GB News in an interview:

Look, the Tory party is a broad church.

I welcome lots of people who want to subscribe to our ideals, to our values.

Asked if that would extend to Farage, Sunak avoided the question and just said he cared about “delivering for the country”.

When told what Sunak had said, Farage said he would not want to join the party anyway. He told GB News:

Would I want to join a party that’s put the tax rate up to the highest in over 70 years, that has allowed net migration to run at over half a million a year, that has not used Brexit to deregulate to help small businesses? No, no and no.

I achieved a lot more outside of the Tory party than I ever could have done from within it."

This is the best thing that could happen to Britain - Farage dooming his comeback by joining Britain’s grandest coalition of the electorally irrelevant.

also, while Farage is an unpleasant man, wishing he had died in a plane crash seems to risk sinking to his level of unpleasantness

I googled the plane crash, and the pictures of him distressed and bloodied next to the wrecked plane are not something to revel in. Be better.

The constant gaslighting of the public - that we don’t want a GE or that’s not what they hear on the doorstep pisses me off. I live in a Tory constituency and they are welcome to come to my doorstep where I will give them both barrels on the need to feck off and have an election.

It’s an anti-trans dog whistle by the look of it. They really are scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel in attempt to keep terminally online bigots onside.

It'll be about climate change too, and biodiversity net gain, air pollution etc.  Anything they can pretend to be on Average Joe's side about vs the elites, whilst pocketing lots of lovely lobbying cash of course, Robert Jenrick style.

“Will you walk into my parlor?” said the spider to the fly;
“’Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you did spy.
The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,
And I have many pretty things to show when you are there.”
“O no, no,” said the little fly, “to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

“I’m sure you must be weary, dear, with soaring up so high;
Will you rest upon my little bed?” said the spider to the fly.
“There are pretty curtains drawn around, the sheets are fine and thin,
And if you like to rest awhile, I’ll snugly tuck you in.”
“O no, no,” said the little fly, “for I’ve often heard it said,
They never, never wake again, who sleep upon your bed.”

Said the cunning spider to the fly, “Dear friend, what shall I do,
To prove the warm affection I’ve always felt for you?
I have within my pantry good store of all that’s nice;
I’m sure you’re very welcome; will you please to take a slice?”
“O no, no,” said the little fly, “kind sir, that cannot be;
I’ve heard what’s in your pantry, and I do not wish to see.”

“Sweet creature!” said the spider, “You’re witty and you’re wise!
How handsome are your gauzy wings, how brilliant are your eyes!
I have a little looking-glass upon my parlor shelf,
If you’ll step in one moment, dear, you shall behold yourself.”
“I thank you, gentle sir,” she said, “for what you’re pleased to say,
And bidding you good-morning now, I’ll call another day.”

The spider turned him round about, and went into his den,
For well he knew the silly fly would soon be back again:
So he wove a subtle web, in a little corner sly,
And set his table ready to dine upon the fly.
Then he came out to his door again, and merrily did sing
“Come hither, hither, pretty fly, with the pearl and silver wing:
Your robes are green and purple; there’s a crest upon your head;
Your eyes are like the diamond bright, but mine are dull as lead.”

Alas, alas! how very soon this silly little fly,
Hearing his wily flattering words, came slowly flitting by.
With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer drew
Thinking only of her brilliant eyes, and green and purple hue;
Thinking only of her crested head — poor foolish thing! At last,
Up jumped the cunning spider, and fiercely held her fast.
He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den,
Within his little parlor; but she ne’er came out again!

And now, dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly, flattering words, I pray you ne’er give heed;
Unto an evil counselor close heart, and ear, and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale of the Spider and the Fly

    Interesting to see the same smug superiority of the left that handed us victory in 2016 remains. The louder you shout gammon and racist the more powerful we become. I can understand why some of you who only live in liberal elite circles thinking this way but Chimp should know better - he lives outside London and has actual real world experience.

    And how do you think that "victory" has worked out, looking back? It's odd to gloat about being so fundamentally wrong, it's like taking massive pride in coming first in a punching yourself in the face competition. Moron.

    I can see how this move might have some kind of strategic attraction for the tories - shore up the right, co-opt the competition like a company buying a small rival who’s been making waves - although it’s a bit late to catch Farage on the upslope isn’t it.

    But for Farage it would be a fvcking mental idea, no?

    Crypto, but we won, we won, we won.

    i am not of the left, don’t think i shouted gammon or racist, i do enjoy watching a brilliant artist whose been playing his instrument for years come close to perfection. Nige plays the Tory party with such expertise. He said on the radio this morning he has so much more influence in his present position than being an ‘elected’ politician. Nige knows his strengths.

    It really is very very hard to see what you can possibly be happy about with the way the country has gone in the last decade Crypto.  Do you really put tribalism above actually living in a half decent country?

    Ok if you’re being serious Guy.

    • I don’t think the U.K. is so bad. Like most Brits I’ve never lived overseas but I’ve not found it much different from most other European countries, except perhaps Germany.
    • I don’t think the economic problems of the U.K. are caused by or can be fixed by the government alone. The workforce is poorly trained, not motivated, and often lazy. That needs a cultural shift.
    • The tax base has shrunk, likely because of the above, while the public sector grows larger and more expensive. I don’t think we should be increasing taxes any further but equally I don’t see huge cuts to the state as being an option. But we need to stop expanding and get rid of all excrescences.
    • I really don’t like liberal/wokeism. Only the Tories can stop it.

    Lol, just lol.

    the idea that Germany is the european country least like the U.K. is lollersome

    of the large EU countries it’s probably the one MOST like the UK

    Tragic but amusing too see crypto in here assuming the position for the Tories on the very day that they literally called him the enemy of the people in one of their silly little keynote speeches.

    Meek, meek, it rhymes with weak...
