The lovely thing is the longer the Tories cling on grimly to power in the desperate hope something will show up their support keeps falling - the very act of clinging on to power makes them more unpopular by the day. By autumn in could be single digits....
ah, but the party's core support will be pure of heart and none of those pesky one-nation/ERG types will remain, so we'll be laughing all the way to the ballot box

I do think it's a bold strategy sending a chap of indian heritage who was resoundingly rejected already out to convince a group of tub thumping, mouth frothing anti immigration voters that he's the right guy to lead the country

I think deep down inside a lot of them have given up and just want to continue looting the country for as long as possible. Self before Party. Party before Country. The TorySpiv way.
Not sure its collapsing. It’s been bouncing between 9 an 11 for about 2 years. They are underperforming, but there support tends to more concentrated than say the Reform Party which spread across the country and will win fook all bar losing the tories some seats. Ed Davey is an ineffective leader and this post office scandal is something easy to pin on him in publics eye.

Reckon they''ve just taken this approach straight out of the Gordon Brown playbook!
"You are saying Gordon Brown of all people is corrupt? I would say like him or not he is one of the least corruptible politicans you hope for?"
If you are saying he also delayed calling an election too long, you are correct. But he wasnt the 3rd PM since the GE, with policies that have little relationship to the agenda that won the previous general election with only low twenties support in the opinion polls.
Actually Henley is an odd place, the local council is a local residents group, v effective at maintaining the status quo, right wing break-away from Con. But v much Remain in the referendum.

Just as long as flights to regional airports don’t become fractionally more expensive the rest of the country can go to hell so far as I am concerned.

marginally more expensive is fine, if seriously irritating given that the state has imposed it on me. banning them would be the problem

Ban them.
Make people get the train instead.
Or swim or something, if they live in Northern Ireland.

I am surprised on Sumo's map that such huge swathes of kent are red.
And that my boro in surrey is predicted to go yellow (it has never returned lower than 40% tory since it was created I dont think)

That's the tories losing out to Reform and both ending up in the bin, Wang.

So the bits of the country most affected by small boats are going to vote labour eh? How interesting.

It’s clear the map at the top is ridiculous. Just look at the prediction for Scotland

Henley on Thames no less now reported to be going red or orange in the GE (Source: Henley Standard)

A quick reminder in the Daily Mail of what a Labour government will do to their house prices will easily fix that Minkie.

I am considering supporting LibDem locally. Was Green but decided against candidate.

If that map and the local press is to be believed my own constituency is up for Labour grabs which would be quite the scoop as has been Tory from 1931
Where I grew up went LibDem in 2021 as well having been blue forever but that was a by election
