I posted a while ago that the best explanation for her refusal to show her face is that she's had work done, which she asked to be "subtle," but the results are not subtle at all. Not proven/ confirmed yet, but getting there. Likely she's having/ had more work done to make it less obvious.

For goodness sake - she is entitled to privacy. I had heart surgery - i was advised to have 6-12 weeks bed rest. That was difficult. Kate is entitled to stay quiet about her health.
It probably is her but if she’s well enough to pop down the shops on a Sunday I have no idea why she hasn’t done a thirty second video saying “Thanks for all the well wishes and concern, I’m fine and would like to keep everything private with my family until I’m ready to do public events again”.
She presumably knows the story of the botched photo is international news and has been incredibly damaging to the Royal Family.
And whatever’s going on behind the scenes, she must know that her failure to release a short video is going to put her under immense scrutiny and pressure when she inevitably has to start making public appearances in a couple of weeks. I don’t see why she doesn’t just let the air out of it now.

All the more so, if it's something "intimate" - e.g. treatment for endometriosis, or a hysterectomy or fibroid removal, or whatever - it isn't unreasonable that she might not be in a hurry to have the world discussing her period life, for example.
Of course she doesn’t have to discuss her health with the public, but there are a not insignificant number of people who now believe she’s dead, international press are saying they no longer trust communications from the palace, and US media is joking about her husband having an affair.
If it’s all overblown and she’s fine and just recovering that’s good (for her and her family) but then she could presumably have put all this to bed weeks ago.
Anyway we’ll see in a few weeks I guess when she returns to work.

She went in for a routine strapadictomy - Wills finds all the faffing with harnesses and buckles a total passion killer and we can all relate to that, right guys? - but came round from the GA to find that he'd done the dirty and swapped out the promised modest 8-incher for something with proportions closer to one of granny's champion stallions. Understandably, it's taking her a little longer than expected to get used to walking around with that monster taped to her thigh(/knee/calf).
Kensington Palace sources report that the Prince of Wales is delighted with the outcome of the Princess's surgery.
Relief now all round at KP one imagines. But they’ve had to use the medical data story, would probably have hoped to keep that back for a later emergency, or to explain further no-shows.
