Yesterday, during the budget speech and subsequent interviews, the shadow chancellor had a large cut on his nose. He looked ridiculous.
This morning he appears to have covered it with make up.
It seems as if they feel the cut should be hidden from the public but didnt have time to do so before the budget. Which makes me wonder what caused the cut in the first place?

Strutz that must be bullshit. you dont fall over onto your nose. ever. it is literally not possible for an able bodied person to do that even if absolutely banjoed to oliver reed levels. I should know, I've tried a lot.
you smash your nose when hit by surprise - a punch or something bein thrown at you or a knee from that fat bastard who played for havant colts

Wang I've got a friend who seems to lack the reflex put his hands out when falling and has a terrible scar on his nose from where he fell down a flight of concrete stairs and landed on his face.

He must have passed out and then fell. Pot luck as to whatever hits the ground first in those cases.

My friend is able bodied he just has rubbish reflexes. He's also nutted a road after trying to jump off a moving bus.
McDonnell may have been carrying something that stopped him getting his hands out quickly enough. Quite possible that he landed on the pile of rubbish with his hands out but that a lump in the pile got him in the face.
