There are places which be forever tory, regardless. They'll get a slight beating but will still have the highest number of votes imo. I dont say this with any glee, s'just fax. trufax
I hate the fact that Farage has a new excuse to continually get his smug twotface everywhere and I hate the fact that so many twots will vote for his twotty party
Change UK has added Rachael Johnson to the rest of the smug types on their roster.
There's a clear alternative to Farage and the Brexit Party (who unlike Change UK, are really just one man). I don't know why remain types are so concerned.
The relaxing certainty is that unless we revoke Art. 50 the issues around Brexit will be the centre of British politics for the next thirty years.
Remember that May’s deal is just an arrangement for leaving - a preliminary. The actual ongoing deal with the EU would then take 10+ years to negotiate. And every twist of the way would be bad for the UK.
And the EU has no incentive to agree anything worse for them than the UK locked into the CU and SM. From their point of view the backstop is the floor for the future relationship
As for what remains of the Conservative Party, they are burying themselves further into idiocy and irrelevance every day. The Conservative MPs of the 1980s or 1990s would not have let this happen.
“We no longer feel that Mrs May is the right person to continue as prime minister to lead us forward in the [Brexit] negotiations. We therefore, with great reluctance, ask that she considers her position and resigns, to allow the Conservative Party to choose another leader, and the country to move forward and negotiate our exit from the EU.”

I wonder who is standing for election for a job that might be over before you even get to take up your seat in Brussels.

...or might not even actually happen at all if TMPM gets her way

I take a lot of comfort from the fact that TMPM hasn’t exactly got a reputation for getting her way.

Motion signed by over 65 Association Chairmen
How can she have the arrogance to not resign?
If Phil doesn’t have a word, surely Brenda should

LOL, of course the Tories won't get the highest number of votes! Brexit and Labour are competing for that honour.
The Tories might just come third ahead of Change, but even that looks uncertain. Conceivably they could even come fifth, behind Ukip.
