High early morning turnout at London polling stations

Do you think some of this is because some of the polling stations are in places where voters are thinking to themselves: "I don't really want to be hanging around here at 9pm in the dark......."

Or is it because its Thursday and people have got to be on the lash?

Rhamnousia is probably right

Unfortunately London turnout will not make anything like as much difference in a FPTP election in a region where the tories have relatively few seats anyway, as it would have in the straight-count  referendum.

My polling station is on the way to station so think the queue this morning was the result of people thinking it's convenient on the way to work.  They may also have been swayed by looking at the forecast for this evening.

There's got to have been a few people who joined those queues thinking "I'm going to vote Corbyn and bring real change" and after about 15 minutes stuck in the queue were like "On the other hand state socialism does mean more queuing for everything" and then by the time they walked out of the polling station realised that they had ended up voting Tory.

It's the Thursday a couple of weeks before Christmas - absolutely peak party time. People are voting so they don't have to leave parties/drinks early to get back and vote (unless they are on SWR in which case they have to leave early to get home anyway)

You are right, however, State socialism doesn't mean more queueing for everything. The KGB were pretty quick at the arresting, torturing and executing people - no one had to wait!

It's a good thing that Corbyn doesn't have any actual card-carrying Communists working for him. Especially not ones who had actually worked for the Soviet Union:

Well apart from him.

Or this one:

I mean, obviously there is nothing to worry about a man who has ridiculous posh-boy Communist advisers, who apologise for state sponsored mass murder. Nothing to worry about at all. No, in fact, its Dominic Cummings you should be worried about:

Because when I compare Dominic Cummings's Wikipedia page to that of Milne, it is clear to me that one of the party leader's advisors is a dangerous extremist psychopath who worships totalitarian murderous fanatics, and the other one is Dominic Cummings.
