Further stupidity

Just for fooks sakes, this is getting absurd now.

So today I learned that a friend of mine used the money from her daughters student loan as well as some money that the girl’s biological father just.. Jesus I don’t even know where to go with this.

Anyway the girl is in a financial pickle with the rent from the university  and having asked her to authorise me to speak with them I learned that they won’t take I in instalments or whatever.  But the mum won’t let me pay it off.

Ffs.  Just what the fook.

If they do not get full payment by 27 December then they will start unpleasant proceedings against her.

I don’t think her mum fully understands how this works. Argh.

Annus horribilis.

Please explain so that I can, with all due affection, mock you.

I am going that the hairdresser's husband turned up in a Zonda and beat you in a drag race (as in dressing up as a lady) whilst the crowd of viz characters looks on.

It would be ace if you did it to "you can leave your hat on" whilst bbq'ing quorn

Will dealing with this imaginary situation stop you from being able to fly to an imaginary dinner party with NATO after inspecting your imaginary textile empire?

Phoebs puts me in mind of a coffee shop I walked past the other day near st Paul's.  One of those proper poncey ones with a chalk board explaining that the beans came from an ocelot called Keith or an orangutan called Bob.  Outside it had a chalk board on which their resident hipster wag had written "come in to [coffee shop name]* where all you dreams come true".

I thought "I so need to bring tecco here"**

*I can't actually recall the name

**if we took montles and tecco we could cause a RIP in space time

Guys, seriously mock away.  It’s just become so absurd now.

Wellers, I’ve not really paid attention to her norks tbh. Sorry mate.  I tend to not look at 18 year old girls in that way.

Speaking of 18 year olds, I just sent £50 notes to a bunch of my nieces.  Also one who was 21. That felt a bit wieird.

Just to shatter your tedious yarn Carl, all student finance is paid to the Student directly and does not go the parent.

And even if true, what the feck has it got to do with you?

No it doesn’t go to the parent afaik.  I am very new to all this.

What the fook it had to do with me is that I do not wish to see a young girl kicked out of halls because her idiotic mother asked her for money that she was given to pay her accommodation costs.

Yeah fine technically it doesn’t have anything to do with me other than she is the daughter of a friend who, honestly, is a bit bonkers.  I don’t want her to suffer because of that.

And that really is all I’ve got mate, trying to do good ya know?

in unlikely event any of this is based in reality

Presumably this is same mother and daughter combo whose mortgage you pay? If so it's probs a ruse between mother and daughter to part you from yet more money.

either the things you say are true, in which case you are being financially exploited by numerous people, or you're making it up for attention.  Either way you need help

Erm.... Those people controlling your finances now...don't seem to have much control....you still seem to be giving away imaginary money to a bunch of imaginary friends whilst travelling the globe for imaginary important business events.

Could you just not post about the non imaginary doodle? He's cute.

Hello and welcome to "Would I Lie to You?". On Lee Mack's team this week we have fellow Welshman Tecco "Towers" Teclis.  The answer is "It's a lie". This week's worthy winners are David Mitchell's team.  Thank you and goodnight.

I stopped paying their mortgage ages ago, this is genuine as I’ve spoken to the university (and have email from them) it’s a stupid situation that’s all.

They won’t let me pay it off because the mother believes she has money coming in from a source elsewhere - let’s hope that’s the case.

I blame you for this complete misconception dux, saying about how I couldn’t buy a burger etc.

I am not able to make significant capital changes (buying or selling a property is out) but that doesn’t prevent me from spending a couple of grand on something I want.

I thought that you had had your ability to control your finances taken off you Tecco....

Also student loan money does not go to parents. that is a lie.

hth

obvious what you have to do tbh, offer to come to an arrangement with mother and daughter specifically using the word 'arrangement' - I've watched enough porn to know that from there, the only possible direction this can take is that it leads to a threesome

Good work from the people picking this apart who clearly haven't bothered to read it properly.  It was obvious to me from the second post that daughter had obtained loan and passed it to her mother.

In my lengthy experience of benign oversight on my kids student finances:

1. SLC pays 1st Autumn instalment of maintenance grant directly into Student's account.

2. Invoice from Uni to Student for 1st term's accommodation is sent to student before 1st instalment of grant.

3. If said Student is stupid enough to give grant money to mother, rather pay her rent, then really...

My dad was always trying to get me to hand over my loan money for him to invest in some scheme on the basis he could get a higher return than the interest rate.  I spent it on booze instead.

I have not read the whole thread but am getting very bored by these self regarding posts which, if they contain an essence of truth, are largely based on some upstream decisions which are severely iffy. You made your bed now lie in it.  You wallow in shite so you smell of shite. That's the long and the short of it.

If, however, none of this has a grain of truth (and my antennae are twitching) then just shut up.   You are a man who claims to be on benefits but drives an (imaginary) Ferrari and wants to bail out someone with vast sums of cash. Just stop.
